We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Unit Manager to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the activities, workflow, and nursing resources of assigned nursing units.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to nursing units, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Staff Development: Conduct hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Quality Improvement: Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services, and develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services.
- Financial Management: Monitor and adhere to budget, and approve or monitor expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
- Licensure and Certification: BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date, and licensed registered nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in nursing required, with 1 year of leadership or management experience.
