Position Overview
As a Nursing Unit Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of a designated nursing unit. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Director of Nursing in delivering exceptional care while ensuring positive clinical outcomes and satisfaction for patients, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operations and coordination of nursing and patient care within the assigned unit.
- Ensure that the delivery of patient care aligns with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Fairland Nursing and Rehab Center, adhering to accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapists, and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.
- Oversee human resource management within the unit, including minimizing overtime and agency personnel usage, recruiting and orienting new staff, evaluating nursing staff performance, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
