Role Responsibilities:
- Generate high-quality ultrasound images and obtain necessary measurements for each examination.
- Identify the sonographic characteristics of both normal and abnormal tissue structures to ensure optimal image quality for documentation.
- Accurately document all relevant patient and procedural data.
- Gather and assess pertinent patient history and physical findings that may influence the ultrasound examination.
- Clearly explain procedures to patients to enhance comfort and cooperation.
- Monitor patients throughout all phases of the procedure, prioritizing their emotional and physical well-being.
- Communicate patient information professionally and courteously to patients and referring physician offices as needed.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
- Calibrate and manage equipment, ordering supplies as necessary.
- Schedule and coordinate testing procedures.
- Prepare and maintain operational logs.
- Assist with Quality Assurance and Improvement audits and activities as required.

Qualifications:
- ARRT Registry or ARDMS Registry required.

The ARDMS must include successful completion of one registry relevant to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, and vascular).

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- RVT Certification is highly preferred.
- Previous ultrasound experience is preferred.

- Carrying, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Sitting, Speaking, Standing.
