About the Job

The Chief Systems Navigation Engineer will lead the engineering requirement maturation for the Guidance, Navigation, and Control system, as well as integrate autopilot and autothrottle capabilities into the Vehicle Management System. This role requires strong system engineering skills, including the ability to analyze non-linear simulations of aircraft closed-loop responses and create certification test procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of autopilot and autothrottle capabilities into the Vehicle Management System
  • Develop and implement system engineering requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree in a STEM field and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience with fixed-wing aircraft dynamics, fly-by-wire control systems, and system engineering requirement definition, verification, and validation
  • Strong knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, and Model-Based System Engineering tools
