Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Telemetry Nurse at Penn State Health. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. As a Telemetry Nurse, you will administer nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and monitor and record symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Acknowledge the importance of thorough assessment, planning, and evaluation in delivering high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans that cater to the diverse needs of patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients for reactions and side effects
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes
To be successful in this role, you must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or hold a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. You should also have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to orientation completion.
