Role Summary:
The Reimbursement Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating vendor applications to ascertain expected reimbursement levels. This position necessitates a thorough understanding of contract details to ensure alignment with reimbursement protocols established in payer agreements. The analyst will utilize data reporting tools to identify trends and underpayment issues, fostering collaboration with finance, contract relations, and other relevant departments.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop expertise in reimbursement workflows and the associated software applications.
2. Act as the primary resource for account-level pricing based on contract reimbursement methodologies.
3. Facilitate training sessions for team members regarding reimbursement practices and pricing methodologies.
4. Analyze contracts in conjunction with the hospital charge master to ensure accurate reimbursement amounts.
5. Collaborate with Financial Counselors to provide estimated pricing for various procedures.
6. Uphold compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Essential Functions:
1. Utilize existing pricing tools and assist in the development of new tools for reimbursement forecasting.
2. Generate reports on payment variances to address underpayment challenges.
3. Provide pricing estimates for patients and registration staff based on contractual agreements.
4. Validate new contracts and amendments to maintain rate integrity.
5. Prepare reports for insurance reimbursement audits and prioritize account reviews.

Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in business, healthcare, accounting, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of three years in the healthcare industry with a focus on contract modeling, auditing, or reimbursement processes. Familiarity with relevant software systems is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:
1. Proficient in interpreting payer contracts and billing regulations.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
3. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Computer Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced spreadsheet applications.
