As a Special Process Engineer focusing on paint, seal, and adhesive applications, your role will involve the design, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge technologies to enhance aircraft performance, safety, and reliability, ensuring we continue to provide exceptional aviation solutions.

You will work closely with various departments to guarantee that our products and services adhere to the highest industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading team responses on critical flight and product safety components and processes.
- Serving as a liaison with manufacturing sites regarding component repairs, inspections, and compliance.
- Promoting best practices and identifying business improvement opportunities through a network of aerospace professionals.
- Acting as the focal point for multi-discipline OEM technical reviews and corrective action requests.
- Overseeing repair development project executions.
- Supporting process engineering enterprise projects and compliance audits.
- Engaging in special projects that may require travel.

Process Control and Enhancement

Evaluate, develop, and propose methods to meet production goals, enhance quality, and minimize turnaround times for products and processes, including comprehensive cost analysis.

You will establish, analyze, and respond to performance metrics related to processes.

Investigate and initiate corrective actions for issues and deficiencies concerning equipment and processes to reduce variability and enhance reliability.

Coordinate and collaborate with external resources, including contractors and equipment suppliers, for process support, improvements, or repair development.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and promptly report any unsafe practices or conditions.
Undertake special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- A university degree in Chemistry, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; or a degree in Materials Engineering.
- Proficiency in developing business case proposals for new productivity enhancement technologies in collaboration with operations and contractors, including justifications, budgeting, and timelines.
- Capability to prepare technical specifications and cost-benefit analyses for capital equipment procurement.
- Experience in developing repairs with aerospace OEMs.
- Strong skills in planning, team building, analytical evaluations, and decision-making.

Knowledge and Skills
- Familiarity with 14 CFR regulations and industry standards related to chemical processes such as stripping, cleaning, plating, painting, and sealants.
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong project management abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aerospace materials and processes.
- Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing process engineering environment.
