Job Summary

The Building People is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team in the design, development, and testing of systems.
  • Lead the process of designing, building, and rolling out applications, ensuring they meet the required technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with management and stakeholders to document and shape business requirements, translating them into technical requirements for the development team.
  • Direct the development team through the design, development, testing, and debugging processes, ensuring high-quality code and efficient project delivery.
  • Plan and document technical specifications for future application features or infrastructural systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Engage in and lead in application performance tuning, application architecture, and design decisions, ensuring optimal system performance and scalability.
  • Discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level clients, providing clear and concise explanations of technical concepts.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong background in software development and technical leadership.
  • At least 5 years of experience in SaaS solution application development, with a focus on large-scale implementations and integrations with 3rd party solutions and mobile solutions.
  • Certified experience with large SaaS implementations, integrating with 3rd party solutions and mobile solutions.
  • Preferred: Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) experience, such as Archibus, TRIRIGA, Nuvolo, ServiceNow WSD, Maximo, and/or FMSystems.
Education
  • Completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Ability to meet Federal & DoD Gov't security background checks, HSPD-12, Fingerprinting, plus agency-specific screening.
  • 2+ years successfully working from home or remote location, with minimal supervision.
  • Operate within a NIST 800-171 compliant security environment internally and able to support all client-required cyber security data and operational processes. Value and protect company, colleague, and customer data.
  • Operate within a home office environment that provides adequate workspace and high-speed internet connectivity.
