Vascular Ultrasound Specialist Job Description

As a Vascular Ultrasound Specialist at USA Clinics Group, you will perform vascular ultrasound examinations of patients' lower extremities and other studies as needed. You will balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient workflow in the office. Additionally, you will ensure that patients have an excellent service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations to create a Venous Flow Map for recommending a safe and effective treatment plan.
  • Assist the Physician in explaining the treatment plan to the patient and how it addresses their specific needs.
  • Set up and clean procedure rooms, exam rooms, and ultrasound rooms before and after each patient.
  • Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required by the treatment plan to ensure effectiveness and safety.
  • Adhere to standard time allotments for each type of ultrasound exam to maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Work with office staff, administrative staff, and Physicians to review the ultrasound schedule and ensure availability of technicians for excellent and timely patient care.
  • Develop and maintain quality of work and skills to comply with company standards through continued education and interaction with other Ultrasound Technologists.
  • Maintain equipment and manage supply inventory to ensure continued operations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS) or ability to earn certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to work well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
