Key Responsibilities- Manage and operate electric motors, pumps, and valves to control the flow of raw water into the treatment facility.
- Accurately dispense specified quantities of chemicals, such as chlorine and lime, to disinfect and clarify water.
- Initiate mixing processes to allow impurities to settle and regulate water through filtration systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of tanks and filter beds, utilizing backwashing techniques.
- Perform water quality testing to assess acidity, color, and impurities using advanced measurement tools.
- Execute additional related tasks as required.
- Proficient in the use of tools and equipment relevant to water treatment operations.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams related to water treatment systems.
- Capable of performing tasks efficiently under challenging conditions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex operational issues.
- Comprehensive knowledge of water treatment theory and materials.
- Experience operating various industrial equipment and tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Possession of an ADEQ Class 2 water treatment certification is mandatory.
- Valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- U.S. citizenship is required for access to certain facilities.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
