Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of education specialists. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with students in a school setting, helping them develop essential motor skills, sensory integration, and functional abilities.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' needs and determine individualized therapy goals.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique requirements.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in both individual and group settings, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
- Monitor and document students' progress, making adjustments to therapy interventions as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Train and support teachers on strategies and accommodations that promote students' functional independence within the school environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including therapy plans, progress reports, and billing documentation.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid State Occupational Therapist license.
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process and experience collaborating with special education teams.
- Strong understanding of various therapy techniques and interventions for children with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet student needs and documentation requirements.
