We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the sustainment of rugged military electronics.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical equipment for use in military environments.
- Support the production and sustainment of released products, including identifying and resolving issues throughout the product's life cycle.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
- Work with limited supervision to meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals.
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Minimum of 2 years designing and developing mechanical equipment for use in military environments.
- Experience with design and production support.
- Experience with 3D CAD design tools and related product data management tools.
- Working knowledge of military and commercial specifications.
- Experience in design, fabrication, and integration of electronic assemblies, shelter assemblies, power distribution equipment packaging, and rack systems.
- Familiarity with ECAD development process.
- Reliability or failure analysis experience.
- Experience using CREO CAD design and documentation tools.
- Familiarity with configuration and data management.
- A competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000.
