The role of the Pre-Certification Specialist is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the necessary medical services in a timely manner. This position requires:
- Expertise in Office Technology: Proficient use of office equipment, computers, and various insurance platforms.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Insurance: In-depth understanding of healthcare insurance providers and their authorization protocols.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to articulate clinical documentation and insurance requirements clearly.
- Patient Interaction: Creating a welcoming environment for patients, families, and visitors while managing scheduling and pre-certification tasks.
- Insurance Verification: Collecting demographic data and confirming insurance details accurately.
- Problem Resolution: Addressing inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and efficiency.
This position demands strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision is essential.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
