Dignity Health's Pacific Central Coast Health Centers is a non-profit community clinic organization serving the coast from Ventura to Templeton.

Job Responsibilities
  1. We are seeking an individual to provide exceptional customer service via phone, communicating effectively with patients, physicians, and vendors.
  2. This role involves collecting and updating demographics and insurance information, verifying health plan eligibility, and taking accurate messages.
  3. The successful candidate will schedule mutually acceptable appointment times using our electronic practice management system.
  4. In addition, this position performs various clerical duties to support daily clinic operations, quality patient care initiatives, and benchmark goals.
  5. May have access to third-party credit card information and transactional systems.
Requirements
  • 6 months of experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Office Receptionist or equivalent experience in high-volume customer service roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are required.
  • Keyboarding skills and proficiency with computer equipment, software, and standard office equipment are necessary.
  • Familiarity with electronic practice management systems and multi-line phones is preferred.
  • Medical terminology knowledge is also preferred.
Compensation

$50,000 - $60,000 per year
