About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Investment Risk Manager to join our Asset Management team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an investment risk framework that enables us to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with our investment portfolios. You will work closely with our investment, data, technology, and leadership teams to build a robust monitoring framework and oversee the risk management process across our asset classes and client portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of investment risk principles and strategies, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement an investment risk monitoring framework
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of investment risk attributes and guidelines
  • Utilize data analytics and tools to monitor and report on investment risk metrics
  • Communicate complex risk concepts to stakeholders at all levels
  • Partner with our Enterprise Risk Management Team to integrate investment risk into our broader enterprise risk management strategy
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management within the asset management or insurance industry, with a focus on credit risk
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams

Securian Financial Group offers a competitive salary range of $86,500 - $160,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
