Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary:

Spherion is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping Clerk. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the flow of shipments, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including tracking and reporting on stock levels
• Prepare and process shipping documents and labels, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods
• Inspect and verify the contents of packages, ensuring accuracy and integrity of shipments
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, including sales, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of goods

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time, with frequent bending and reaching
