About the Job

The Dietary Aide position requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the cook team to prepare and serve meals in a timely manner. Your ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure will be crucial in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meals, including food portioning, labeling, and serving.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the cook team to ensure smooth meal service and adhere to menu planning and production schedules.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and satisfying.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A State of South Dakota Medication Aide License
  • Previous experience working in senior living or long-term care preferred
  • A high school degree or GED
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes, directions, menu orders, and work assignments
  • Numerical ability for recipe preparation and proper measuring of cleaning agents and chemicals
  • Good motor coordination and manual dexterity for various work routines
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 50 lbs and withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes
