Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated dental assistant to join our team at Sioux Falls Smiles. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort patients of all ages to the appropriate operatory, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Prepare instrument cassettes and set up materials for procedures, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Perform sterilization of contaminated dental instruments after receiving proper training and following established standards.
  • Accurately create alginate impressions, which are then poured into diagnostic models.
  • Take precise and clear dental images, including but not limited to bitewings, periapicals, panoramic x-rays, CBCT, and intraoral photographs.
Detailed Job Description

In this role, you will assist with various procedures such as fixed and removable prosthodontics, esthetic and non-esthetic direct restorations, oral surgery, and endodontics. You will also provide assistance to other members of the dental team when needed.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of an ADAA dental assistance program is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of chairside experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated willingness to actively learn and undergo training may serve as substitution for previous experience.
