Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Oncologist to join our esteemed department in New Orleans. Our institution is a leading research university, and we empower our physicians to become leaders in their field by collaborating with bench researchers, heading clinical trials, and publishing as primary authors for translational clinical trial research.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching fellows, residents, and medical students while dedicating 50% protected time to academic pursuits. This includes collaboration with a dedicated team of 3 Hepatologists and specialized Gastroenterology faculty, as well as strong APP support for clinical care.

Research Opportunities and Clinical Trials

We have multiple clinical trials that directly contribute to advancing treatment options for specific cancer populations. The chosen candidate will be at the forefront of new immunotherapy and chemotherapy regimens, working closely with a team focused on improving patient outcomes and pioneering leading-edge research.

  • Trial 1: Investigating Atezolizumab in MSI-H/dMMR Gastric or GEJ Cancer
  • Trial 2: Comparing HAI Pump Chemotherapy in Inoperable Colorectal Liver Metastases
  • Trial 3: Evaluating Olaparib in Resected Pancreatic Cancer with BRCA Mutation

Compensation
