Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Care team at Prisma Health Heart Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Marion Suite Cardiac Telemetry unit.

About the Role

As a Cardiovascular Care Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patients with primary diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrhythmias. You will develop individualized plans of care that reflect current evidence-based practices and address continuity of care.

  • You will collect data and complete nursing assessments utilizing appropriate area-specific standards and policies.
  • You will identify nursing priorities for the interdisciplinary plan of care based on your assessment and validate these priorities with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Care Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and recognizing subtle or actual changes in patients' conditions and responding accordingly.
  • Developing age-appropriate, culturally sensitive plans of care that reflect current evidence-based practices.
  • Providing direct care to assigned patients in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensuring smooth hand-offs of assigned patients to other departments and caregivers.
  • Maintaining a safe environment by adhering to patient care standards and protocols.
Requirements

To be successful as a Cardiovascular Care Specialist, you will need:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute inpatient setting.
  • SC Licensed RN - Registered Nurse certification.
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical abilities.

This position is located at 1510 Richland Hospital in Richland, South Carolina. The work schedule includes night shifts with possible weekend, holiday, and on-call work.
