About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist to join our team at the Veterans Health Administration. As a Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to our patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care services, including individual and group therapy sessions, as well as crisis intervention and stabilization.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including interviews, observations, and standardized tests, to diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, and to provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health, and incorporate this knowledge into your practice.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist in the state where the position is located.
  • Experience working with patients with mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
