Job Title: Field Supervisor

At Miller Environmental Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing project management, client and employee relations, estimating, proposal writing, and coordinating with multiple locations for personnel and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from start to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Conduct field inspections, including estimating, bidding, and proposal processes.
  • Oversee the management of sub-contractors, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain excellent client and employee relations, including hiring, discipline, annual reviews, and coaching.
  • Collaborate with senior managers and the sales team to identify potential opportunities and maintain current client relations.
  • Produce timely documentation for internal and external agencies and clients, including report writing, map generation, chain of custodies, work sheets, and manifesting.
  • Provide leadership and direction to technicians, drivers, and mechanics to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards, inventory control, and DOT regulations.
  • Dispatch employees and job information.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated background in successfully managing project schedules and budgets.
  • At least three to five years of supervisory/project management experience in environmental construction/industrial cleanings, with knowledge of emergency response/management, quality management, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with personnel and clients.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

The employee must lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The work is primarily performed in the field, outdoors in the heat or cold for 8 or more hours per day. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. To reduce exposure to harmful materials, workers often wear coveralls, gloves, shoe covers, safety glasses, or goggles. Some must wear fully enclosed protective suits for several hours at a time; these suits may be hot and uncomfortable and may cause the workers who wear them to experience claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces). In extremely toxic cleanups, hazmat workers are required to wear respirators or personal air monitors.
