Job Summary

The Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant will provide support to the educational process by providing services and interventions to students with communication disabilities under the direction of a Speech and Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to students with communication disabilities in a school setting
  • Assist Speech and Language Pathologists in developing and implementing individualized education plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure that students receive comprehensive support
  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention training to students and staff
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • One year of experience working with students with communication disabilities
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training
  • Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and evidence of insurability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Experience working in a school setting
