Job Overview

In this role, you will oversee the daily functions of the Residential Counselor team under minimal supervision. Your responsibilities will include training, mentoring, and guiding the Residential Counselor staff to ensure effective service delivery. You will assist with special initiatives and the onboarding of new Residential Counselors, while also refining processes related to the role, including workflows and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and evaluate the team's progress towards established goals, including data tracking and conflict resolution.
  2. Ensure adherence to the recovery model of service within the team.
  3. Supervise daily activities of the Residential Counselor staff in alignment with departmental policies and standards.
  4. Collaborate with the Residential Rehabilitation Program Coordinator to set performance and quality benchmarks.
  5. Identify and address challenges within residential settings, providing recommendations for program and staff assignments.
  6. Conduct orientation and training sessions for new hires, including participation in the selection and hiring process.
  7. Review and assess team members' administrative duties in accordance with established standards.
  8. Support and provide training to Residential Counselors, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles.
  9. Communicate any changes regarding schedules and application processes to enhance member engagement.
  10. Gather feedback from the Rehabilitation Coordinator team to identify additional training needs and relay findings to the assistant program manager.
  11. Analyze program needs to pinpoint areas for improvement within the Residential Counselor role.
