Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team at Benihana | Florida. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets guests warmly and escorts them to their table, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Manages table selection and seating, balancing the flow among server stations to maximize guest satisfaction.
  • Utilizes our customer paging system to ensure timely communication with guests and servers.
  • Assists with seating requests and provides guests with clean menus and necessary information.
  • Relays information to service staff and requests feedback from guests to ensure a positive experience.
  • Maintains a clean and organized station, ensuring the cleanliness of menus and necessary supplies.
  • Prompts answers the phone with a friendly greeting and responds to guest inquiries related to operating hours, reservations, and directions.
  • Ensures backup coverage for the host stand when necessary and completes all side work requirements prior to, during, and after shift.
  • Periodically checks restrooms for cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting required.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
