As a Structural Engineer Co-op, you will work collaboratively with our Engineering, Modeling, and Project Management teams across a diverse array of projects. Throughout your three co-op rotations, you will progressively build your expertise and skill set by engaging in key responsibilities that contribute to the success of each project.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Drawing and Specification Review: Analyze structural and architectural drawings alongside project specifications to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
* Structural Design Assistance: Contribute to the structural design of steel buildings
* Connection Design: Assist in the design of bolted and welded connections for both gravity and lateral force-resisting systems.
* Code Compliance: Learn and apply code requirements for wind and seismic lateral systems
* 3D Modeling and Design: Collaborate with the Detailing team to design and model connections in a 3D environment.
* Site Erection Planning: Develop detailed site erection plans.
* Collaborative Design: Work closely with project Architects and Engineers to align designs with project goals and specifications.
* Drawing Review: Review fabrication and erection drawings to ensure they meet project requirements.
* Technology Enhancement: Partner with the Software Development team to innovate and improve design technology, contributing to the advancement of industry practices.
* Fabrication Shop Experience: Gain hands-on experience with the fabrication flow and production processes, deepening your understanding of the entire construction lifecycle.

**Qualifications and Requirements:**

Major: Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures
