Accounting Internship Opportunity

Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd., a well-established firm with over a century of experience, is looking for motivated and skilled individuals to fill the role of Accounting Intern. This internship will provide a comprehensive experience in the accounting field, allowing interns to gain practical skills and knowledge essential for their future careers. Interns will receive thorough onboarding and technical training, along with mentorship from experienced professionals.

As an intern, you will have the chance to:

  • Assist in the preparation of personal and business tax filings
  • Handle amended returns, tax projections, property tax refunds, employee benefit plan returns, and payroll tax returns
  • Gain familiarity with various tax software
  • Collaborate directly with partners, managers, and senior accountants
  • Participate in audits, reviews, and compilations from start to finish
  • Engage in client site visits with team members
  • Work with a diverse range of clients across multiple industries, including telecommunications, manufacturing, non-profit, and real estate

Candidate Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Junior or Senior status with a plan to graduate with 150 credits
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Authorization to work in the United States
