Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop precise and detailed cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects.
  • Review blueprints, construction drawings, and other relevant documents to prepare estimates regarding time, costs, materials, and labor.
  • Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of products and services, monitoring actual costs against estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage with clients, vendors, and team members to discuss estimates and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Conduct studies to establish standard costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the contracting sector.
  • Strong proficiency in electrical construction and estimating practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and material and labor costs.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools, including MS Office and estimating applications.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry trends and electrical codes.
  • Capability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Professional certification in estimating is advantageous.
