We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technical Services Specialist to join our team at St. Mark's Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist staff during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
- Prepare the operating room for procedures, including setting up equipment and supplies.
- Act as a preceptor for other technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Formulate and update protocols for specialty procedures, working closely with the RN service specialist.
- Manage new and existing instruments and supplies necessary for specified specialty procedures.
- Assist in coordinating repairs of specific equipment and maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized patient care environment.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent required. Must maintain required education and certification.
- Completion of surgical technologist course preferred.
- Two years of experience required.
