Job Summary

Destiny Healthcare Services - Chicago Transportation is seeking a skilled Transportation/Visitation Specialist to provide safe and timely transportation for children and families involved in the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport children and families to and from appointments, court hearings, and other DCFS-related activities.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage and times.
  • Communicate effectively with DCFS caseworkers, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist clients with getting in and out of the vehicle as needed.
  • Report any vehicle issues or incidents immediately to management.
  • Provide a positive and supportive environment for clients during transportation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Own a reliable vehicle that meets safety and insurance requirements.
  • Proof of insurance for the vehicle.
  • Clear background check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
