Position Overview:

As a key member of the production team, you will play a vital role in the operation of the Belt & Pack machinery, ensuring efficient and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within a team to facilitate the production process by managing various stations of the Belt & Pack machine.
  • Perform tasks including Cut to Length, Skiving Unit, and Belt Packaging.
  • Oversee machine setup related to the Belt Conversion value stream, focusing on quality, BPS/6S, and TPM.
  • Ensure overall belt joint quality adheres to defined standards and conversion sheet specifications.
  • Adjust machine aggregates based on product-specific requirements such as skiving depth, grinding depth, glue application, tape placement, and packaging aesthetics.
  • Report hourly machine outputs and downtimes accurately.
  • Propose and implement suggestions for process improvements.

Duties Include:
  • Complete setup of Belt & Pack Packaging and Belt-Joining Lines.
  • Engage in BPS/6S/Value Stream/CIP continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively during pre and post-processing stages.
  • Make necessary adjustments throughout the production process to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of machines within the conversion area and complete required training measures.
  • Adhere to BPS Standards and 6S Standards consistently.

Work Environment:

As a Bosch associate in the conversion department, you are expected to foster a positive work atmosphere by adhering to safety protocols. Your willingness to assist colleagues is essential in achieving daily production goals.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Operate various stations of the machine as required.
  • Load machines as necessary.
  • Change slitter blades and sleeves.
  • Utilize pin lift and pallet lift equipment.
  • Successfully set up, start, and operate machines.
  • Make adjustments to stations as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor repairs as per the escalation plan.
  • Read and follow standard operating procedures related to the machine.
  • Maintain quality standards and measures associated with machine operation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of tools and workspace.
  • Stay informed about all safety procedures relevant to the machine operation.
