Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, processing transactions, managing merchandise, and restocking the sales floor. Engage with customers, assist them in selecting products, and maintain a safe and organized work environment while embodying our core values of Passion, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence (PRIDE).

  1. Customer Engagement
  • Articulate Goodwill's Mission and objectives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance satisfaction.
  • Assist customers in product selection and ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Interact courteously with donors and acknowledge their contributions.
  • Ensure a respectful experience for donors, even when declining items.
  1. Operational Responsibilities
  • Accurately acknowledge each donation and categorize incoming items.
  • Prepare items for sale and meet production targets.
  • Identify merchandise for special promotions and maintain stock levels.
  1. Transaction Management
  • Process sales transactions accurately and participate in promotional activities.
  • Safeguard cash and merchandise while providing excellent customer service.
  • Collect necessary customer information as required.
  1. Sales Floor Maintenance
  • Restock and merchandise the sales floor with items from the backroom.
  • Perform general maintenance and ensure merchandise is adequately stocked.
  1. Team Collaboration
  • Exemplify core values and contribute to team objectives.
  • Support the achievement of team goals.
  1. Safety and Compliance
  • Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Report hazards or incidents to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  1. Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide general information to customers and fulfill assigned tasks.
  • Follow punctuality and attendance policies.
  • Receive specific goals and expectations from management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English and ability to interact with diverse individuals.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying objects and engaging in physical tasks.
