Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily maintenance and repair tasks for various technical systems within the facilities department.
- Conduct site visits to assess and address the needs of personnel regarding their technical systems.
- Support local Facilities Assistants in maintaining and administering building systems.
- Utilize tracking tools for effective management of fleet requirements.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance of physical infrastructure, including workstations, VOIP systems, HVAC controls, and security systems.
- Provide user-level training and adjustments for various systems.
- Perform routine checks on system parameters and controls.
- Assist in planning and executing system relocations during construction or remodeling projects.
- Work closely with program staff to ensure readiness of systems and buildings in line with staff and client schedules.
- Maintain effective communication with staff, vendors, and management through various channels.
- Collaborate with contractors during repair and installation projects.
- Support the Facilities Manager in local initiatives, including emergency plan updates and fleet management.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Acceptable background check is mandatory.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
- Basic knowledge of cabling, installations, and repairs of building systems.
- Experience with hand and electrical tools is necessary.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Capability to work from heights safely.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Dependability, organization, and self-motivation are crucial.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
- Position involves a mix of desk work and fieldwork.
