Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering to lead our electrical engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intricate power systems and other building infrastructures, including generator plants, medium voltage distribution, uninterruptible power systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, and grounding solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality technical documentation and proposals for various projects.
- Utilize extensive engineering knowledge across diverse technical areas.
- Employ advanced analytical methods to address complex technical challenges.
- Demonstrate advanced expertise in electrical engineering.
- Guide the creation of initial electrical system designs.
- Formulate work plans to resolve technical issues within project constraints.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce detailed drawings and specifications for stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams, equipment vendors, and manufacturers.
- Manage project activities, including proposal writing, budget establishment, and client relations.
- Design comprehensive electrical distribution systems and building electrical systems.
- Conduct surveys and evaluations of existing conditions.
- Oversee construction administration tasks.
- Foster and maintain client relationships.
- Uphold workplace safety standards and adhere to company policies.
The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit when working with design and construction teams. Previous experience as a lead project electrical engineer is essential.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on electrical systems.
- Over 10 years of experience in electrical system design for high-performance commercial or industrial projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience in mentoring and training junior engineers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and relevant codes.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated.
- Additional certifications (e.g., LEED, Uptime ATD) are advantageous.
- Experience in short circuit coordination and arc flash studies.
- Background in mission-critical or data center projects.
- Familiarity with international projects and codes.
