Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach 3D studio art courses at Elgin Community College. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in the studio discipline taught and a strong commitment to teaching and learning.
Responsibilities- Deliver instruction aligned with the college's strategic goals and evaluate student progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.
- Prepare lessons, provide course syllabi, and verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets.
- Evaluate student progress, provide regular feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Provide student assistance, including maintaining office hours and responding to student inquiries in a timely manner.
- Participate in departmental and institutional routines, including assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Master's degree in the studio discipline taught.
- Strong commitment to teaching and learning.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
The work environment is typical of an office or administrative setting, with moderate noise levels and sedentary work requirements.
