Job Summary

As a Diesel Mechanic Jr at KBR, you will assist journeyman-level workers in performing specific duties of a lesser skill in the trade, including operator maintenance. Your tasks may include wire wheeling, grinding, drilling, masking, stenciling, and maintaining equipment by applying parts and stowing/preserving SL-3 components. You will also perform levels 1 and 2 of corrosion control on assets and other tasks as directed by the supervisor. Additionally, you will supply equipment, material, and tools, and assist with the handling and disposing of hazardous materials.

Basic Qualifications

Two years of experience and completion of or active enrollment in a vocational school are required. You must be medically and physically capable of wearing a respirator, able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and in an enclosed environment. A valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License and ability to obtain and maintain a Tactical Operator License are also necessary. You must be able to comply with all established methods, safety standards, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position. U.S. citizenship is required, and you must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.
