Job Description

R.S. Hughes Company, Inc. is a dynamic distributor of industrial supplies with a strong focus on excellence and professionalism. We're seeking a talented Sales Specialist to join our team and contribute to our success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and operations, with a proven track record of maximizing customer satisfaction and driving sales growth. As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships with key customer personnel, negotiating and discussing program improvements, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure optimal inventory levels and sales growth.
  • Act as a first point of contact for customer inquiries, product additions, updates, or changes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of major product groupings and products to effectively service, stock, and present product solutions.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through prospecting and qualifying within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with the inside operations team and assigned outside sales representative to service customers effectively.
  • Operate a company vehicle to replenish onsite inventory management programs and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Servicing and maintaining equipment onsite at major client SupplySight Program Accounts.
  • Utilize resources and apply learning to teach and tailor product solutions to client environments.
  • Maintain organized inventory in accordance with RSH policies to ensure proper labeling, storage, handling, and packaging.
  • Analyze and investigate inventory variances, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive productivity, quality, inventory control, and safety performance throughout the customer's organization.
  • Maintain a daily inventory dashboard report to identify inventory gaps and constraints.
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of orders after delivering to the customer facility.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Valid state-issued driver's license (Required)
  • 1-year B2B sales and/or operations experience (Preferred)
