Key Responsibilities:

As a Performance Analysis Engineer, your role will include:

  • Driving architectural investigations and performance trade-off studies across different SoC components such as CPU, IO, interconnects, and memory controllers.
  • Conducting workload characterization to pinpoint performance bottlenecks and suggesting effective solutions.
  • Collaborating and reaching consensus with architects and IP teams to enhance performance outcomes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in SoC performance modeling and analysis within the semiconductor sector.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a strong focus on computer architecture and microarchitecture.
  • Comprehensive understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for large-scale software development, along with familiarity in SystemC TLM and Python scripting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex solutions.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with interconnect micro-architecture design, including PCIe and CHI protocols.
  • Knowledge of workloads relevant for performance optimization.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and requirements.
  • Experience with Unix, scripting, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).
