Position Overview:
The Home Care Aide at Griswold is dedicated to delivering empathetic and skilled assistance to individuals within their residences, particularly in the Cuyahoga County and Lorain County regions.
This role is a full-time, hourly opportunity that emphasizes the health and well-being of elderly clients. As a vital team member, the Home Care Aide will significantly contribute to enabling clients to sustain their autonomy and enhance their quality of life.
The perfect candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for aiding others and have prior experience in caregiving. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS MANDATORY.Compensation Details:
The pay range for this position is between $18-$22 per hour, with the highest rates offered for weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care and support to clients, including help with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility and transportation requirements, such as accompanying clients to medical appointments or running errands.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients, which includes light housekeeping tasks.
- Prepare meals in accordance with dietary guidelines.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Document and communicate any changes in the client's health or behavior to the appropriate parties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in caregiving is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is advantageous.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
