Job Overview

The Inventory Control Manager will report directly to the VP of Distribution and will be responsible for managing and coordinating all inventory control operations, data analysis, and logistics movements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the destruction process and governance of surplus inventory following approval.
  • Investigate and resolve physical inventory discrepancies to ensure consistency between our inventory management system and actual stock levels. Provide reports on inventory activities and variances, analyzing proposed adjustments and recommending actions.
  • Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and communicate findings to the VP of Distribution, Director of Finance, and other relevant management personnel.
  • Review and enhance the physical inventory counting process to ensure accuracy through effective Cycle counting.
  • Systematically manage the Cycle count process, ensuring timely completion and reporting progress to the Director and VP of Distribution.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor inventory control practices aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all inventory movements are accurately recorded and executed.
  • Provide timely and accurate inventory records to accounting for month-end close and reconciliation.
  • Monitor the inventory flow of seasonal products as necessary.
  • Collaborate with management to continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure best practices are documented and staff training is conducted.
  • Work alongside the Safety and Loss Prevention Manager to reduce shrinkage within the distribution center.
  • Maintain a cycle count schedule to guarantee accurate and comprehensive inventory counts during cycle counts and year-end assessments.
  • Regularly review inventory for expired and obsolete items, communicating findings to upper management.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train inventory personnel. Develop and implement training programs to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Inspire and lead a team of warehouse staff to meet operational objectives.
  • Demonstrate experience managing multiple direct reports.
  • Conduct analytics on distribution activities and provide summaries as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in distribution center or warehouse operations; experience in the retail sector is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of management experience specifically in Inventory Control.
  • Proficient in advanced analytics using Excel, databases, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in developing or enhancing inventory management or warehouse management systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Suite, particularly intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, data analysis, listening, and communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn various software systems and data analysis tools.
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Metrics-driven mindset.
  • Effective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, and executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly and drive results using data.
  • Detail-oriented with advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to work evening and/or night shifts as required.

Work Environment

Anastasia Beverly Hills offers a competitive compensation package that includes full benefits and a 401(K) plan with matching contributions from the company. The starting base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 annually, with potential variations based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package designed to recognize employees for their contributions. This role is also eligible for bonuses.
