We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Technician for the second shift in our production facility. Position Summary

The Manufacturing Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in supporting team members and executing repetitive assembly tasks to produce high-quality business class seating products. This position requires adherence to production schedules and customer specifications.

*This role operates on the second shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) and includes a 15% shift differential in addition to the base pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble intricate mechanisms and structures according to the latest engineering specifications and drawings, including the installation of various hardware components.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production tools and equipment, promptly reporting any issues to management.
  • Ensure compliance with the most recent engineering drawings during the assembly process.
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering documentation accurately.
  • Maintain thorough records of work orders and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Utilize machine and hand tools safely and effectively, ensuring a secure work environment.
  • Identify and report defects to quality assurance and engineering teams.
  • Foster a cooperative and communicative atmosphere among colleagues.
  • Follow established installation procedures as per engineering requirements.
  • Prepare production units for various stages of manufacturing, including cleaning and organizing tools and parts.
  • Verify dimensions and specifications before installation of components.
  • Execute bonding and assembly tasks as required.
  • Work at different stations as production demands change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the production supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; relevant experience or mechanical aptitude may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • An Associate Degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work the scheduled second shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Skills and Certifications

  • Basic electrical knowledge, including switch assembly and wiring.
  • Experience with composite fabrication techniques.
