Responsibilities:
- Perform daily repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the property remains in good condition.
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy by conducting thorough inspections and making necessary repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary tools are on hand.
- Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents to management.
- Ensure a professional appearance by maintaining the required property uniform.
- Operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
- Be available to work on an on-call basis and respond to service requests in a timely manner.
- Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday and remove snow and ice as necessary.
- Handle lock-outs resulting from evictions and provide 24-hour response to service requests.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate various hand tools, including power tools.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Previous property maintenance or handyman experience.
