About the Role

Dewberry is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. As a key member of our Site/Civil Engineering Group, you will be responsible for the technical design and management of infrastructure projects with a range of construction values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor junior engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Prepare scope, budget, and schedule for projects or tasks within projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Manage project budget, schedule, and perform technical quality control, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines assigned to the project, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and contractors to ensure project goals are met, and expectations are exceeded.
  • Schedule, lead, and attend meetings, conduct site visits/field inspections, and produce engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Review shop drawings and responses to RFIs, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Project Management experience, with the ability to manage multi-disciplined teams.
  • At least 7 years of experience in civil engineering design, with experience permitting projects with Northern Virginia localities.
  • Working knowledge of civil design procedures, agency standards, and permitting.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in developing scope, budget, and schedule for projects.
  • A licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Experience working with public agencies is required; working with the private sector is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with initiative, drive, and determination.
