Chemical Processor

3M Cordova is seeking a skilled Chemical Processor to join our team at the Cordova, IL site. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

• Set up, run, and evaluate chemical processing equipment to produce high-quality products.
• Assist and support higher-level Chemical Operators in routine operations while progressing through the training sequence.
• Perform additional responsibilities as training is completed and certification is obtained.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and adherence to 3M Cordova policies and practices.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand process and safety standards.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry and distillation processes.
• Ability to perform first-line maintenance and repair, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Understanding of and ability to apply basic and inorganic chemistry principles.
• Knowledge of factory service procedures.
• Ability to operate material moving equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $28.09, with the potential to increase to $30.27 after 12 months of employment. 3M offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits, 401(k) match, and employee stock discount.
