Chemical Processor

3M Cordova is seeking a skilled Chemical Processor to join our team at the Cordova, IL site. This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of chemical processing equipment and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Set up, run, and evaluate chemical processing equipment to produce high-quality products.
• Assist and support higher-level Chemical Operators in routine operations and progress through the training sequence.
• Perform additional responsibilities as training is completed and certification is obtained.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to 3M Cordova policies and practices.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of production and ensure a clean and organized work area.
• Operate and maintain portable equipment, including powered and manual tools.
• Ensure proper instrumentation and process control using panel boards or operator interface control systems.
• Participate in quality programs and materials control procedures.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand process and safety standards.
• Basic math skills to perform calculations for charge amounts, adjustments, and yields.
• Desirable: understanding of basic and inorganic chemistry, distillation processes, and safety standards.
