Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Manager

ECS is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineering Manager to join our team in Fairfax, VA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and growing our AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production systems.
  • Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies.
  • Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement scalable software services.
  • Ensure necessary system security by using best-in-class cloud security solutions.
  • Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company.
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary.
  • Recommend process and architecture improvements.
  • Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains.
  • Oversee pre-production acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of our services and products.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability.
  • At least 8 years of experience in and deep knowledge of Linux, cloud infrastructure in AWS or Azure, configuration management experience through Ansible/Terraform/Chef/Puppet, Git, CI/CD, and other development tools.
  • Strong scripting skills in at least one language (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Managing costs / implementing cost optimization strategies in AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with supporting containerized services in production.
  • Experience leading project technical delivery efforts.
  • Advanced cloud architecture skills in one or more clouds, including designing and implementing multi-tenant architectures.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing solutions within the Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (e.g., FISMA, FIPS, SecOps).

Desired Skills:

  • Proven success in supporting a broad array of cloud services.
  • Experience delivering technical excellence in the federal space.
  • Experience with supporting the Elastic Stack in production.
  • Familiarity with managing the Atlassian suite of ALM tools.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps processes, methodologies, and philosophies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with both AWS and Azure Cloud Environments.
  • Experience with containerization and microservice architectures.
  • Relevant professional-level cloud or DevOps certifications.
