Licensed Vocational Nurse, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in a variety of correctional health care settings.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide technical patient care under valid authorization by a provider's order and the delegation and clinical direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
- Address the ongoing needs of patients, work with physicians and other healthcare providers, and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
- Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
