Licensed Vocational Nurse Position at California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in a correctional health care setting. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide basic and technical level of general nursing care to patients in a variety of correctional health care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical patient care under valid authorization by a provider's order
- Collaborate with the health care team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients
- Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team
- Address the ongoing needs of patients, work with physicians and other health care providers, and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources
- Possession of a valid, active license from the State of California to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Ability to work in a correctional health care setting and provide care to patients in a variety of settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
This is a permanent, part-time position working 32 hours per week. The monthly salary range for this position is $5,124.80 to $5,656.00.
