JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Coordinator
The Supply Chain Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the procurement, inventory management, and receipt of supplies and equipment essential for the Facility's operations. This role also involves maintaining an efficient inventory control system. Additionally, the Coordinator may be required to perform duties related to OR Technician responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Director.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Ensuring the availability of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for the daily functions of the surgery center.
- Supervising the accurate documentation related to the ordering, receiving, and processing of all requisitions and purchase orders.
- Maintaining automated systems that facilitate materials management operations.
- Coordinating physical inventory and completing mandatory reporting on a bi-annual basis at the facility.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities, coordinating product assessments, maintaining savings records, conducting cost analyses, and collaborating closely with physicians during product evaluations.
- Overseeing all activities to guarantee the availability of required instruments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of three years' experience as a scrub technician in an operating room environment is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of materials management, including the capability to assist in the development and management of departmental budgets.
- Experience as a buyer in medical materials management or as a senior buyer is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills are essential.
