Job Summary

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound and vascular imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound and vascular imaging procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound and vascular imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Develop and implement protocols for imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in ultrasound and vascular imaging technology and techniques.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance programs to ensure high-quality imaging services.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
